Michael was brought in on loan just before deadline day. He hadn't made an appearance for Blackburn but had made 10 appearances on loan at Carlisle earlier in the season.
Michael was supposed to be a great prospect but there was little sign of that in his debut at home to Torquay. He looked cumbersome and off the pace and played his part in a wretched 0-2 defeat, probably the worst team performance of the season. After his second game he was dropped and allowed to return to Blackburn before the loan expired.
After another year in Blackburn's reserves Michael joined Cheltenham on a free and made 23 appearances over two seasons though he spent the last months of 2005-06 on loan at Forest Green. Since then Michael has been regularly on the move taking in Halifax, Lancaster City, Hyde United, New Saints, Fleetwood and Hyde again. He is currently with Chester.
