Lee was the second borrowed striker of the season , this time from Bury for whom he'd made a solitary appearance.
If Lee's surname were Smith he'd be completely forgotten but as it is his name has come to symbolise the pointless, low impact loan signing (something particularly associated with Steve Parkin but Hilly's made a few too). For the record Lee made two late substitute appearances and looked like a pub player.
His subsequent loan move was to Whitby Town as further evidence of his calibre. When Bury released him in the summer he moved to Accrington and has subsequently played for Clitheroe, Salford City, Rossendale, Ramsbottom and Bacup Borough. He currently works for Bury Council in Sports Development.
