395 Reuben Reid
Position : Forward
Played : 2006-07 (on loan from Plymouth)
Appearances : 2
Goals : 0
Reuben was the fourth new face against M K Dons coming on in the second half. He was 18 and had made 7 mainly substitute appearances for Argyle without scoring and earlier in the season had been on loan at Kidderminster scoring twice in 6 games.
Reuben made an excellent start. Soon after coming on he turned well and played in Kelvin Etuhu for the fifth goal. However after making one more appearance away at Walsall he said the wrong thing in training and was promptly sent packing. Plymouth's manager Ian Holloway showed his displeasure at Reuben's early return by suspending him for two weeks.
Reuben then started going on his travels. In March he went on loan to Torquay scoring twice in 7 games. The following season he went to Wycombe on a season-long loan but like us they returned him early after one goal in 11 games. New Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock told him he wasn't wanted and he saw out the season with Brentford scoring once in 10 games. In the summer he moved to Rotherham and stayed disciplined enough to make an impression scoring 18 goals in 41 appearances. This got him a move to West Brom in July 2009 but he struggled to make an impression and went to Peterborough on loan making 13 appearances without scoring. The season just gone he went on loan to Walsall scoring 3 goals in 18 appearances and then signed for Oldham to the end of the season in January 2011. He scored twice in 18 games. Reuben will play for Oldham next season after accepting a pay cut.
