George's solitary appearance was also in the Shrewsbury game coming on when Marcus Holness got injured in the second half. He looked quite good , composed on the ball and able to find a team-mate. The following season he got nominated as a candidate for Apprentice of the Year (previously won by Joe Thompson) but that didn't prevent him getting released in the summer.
He joined Ramsbottom United where he made a good impression. I saw him in a few games in 2009-10 and he looked quite good although he was outrageously flattened after the ball had gone in one game and the referee did nothing. In summer 2010 he started moving back up the pyramid by signing for Woodley Sports but has since switchd to Bamber Bridge.
George concludes the 2007-08 season.
