Danny  was  signed  on  loan  in  March  one  of  a  trio  of  players  signed  to  make  up  the  numbers  for  the  rest  of  the  season. He  was  originally  with  Sheffield  Wednesday  but  came  to  people's  attention  when  he  scored  4  goals  in  6  games  in  a  loan  spell  at  Bury  in  December  2005. Two  of  them  were  against  Mansfield  who  were  quick  to  sign  him  in  January  2006  but  despite  11  goals  in  40  appearances  they  were  now  looking  to  offload  him. 

Danny  never  actually  started  a  game  for  us  but  didn't  make  much  impact  as  a  substitute. He  was  generously  proportioned  which  gave  him  some  presence  upfront  but  he  didn't  seem  to  have  much  idea  how  to  make  it  count. One  of  my  companions  said  "He  isn't  reet  good  is  he ?"  and  he  wasn't.

The  following  season  he  went  on  loan  to  Alfreton  Town  until  agreeing  a  release  with  Mansfield  in  March  2008. He  briefly  went  to  Dinnington  but  spent  most  of  the  2008-09  season  with  Buxton. The  trail  goes  cold  after  that.
